Yvee Oduor (They/Them)
Board Chair
Yvonne Oduor is a Feminist who uses their background as a trained journalist to advocate for the human rights of Gender and Sexual Minorities in Kenya. They are currently the Operations Manager at the Gay and Lesbian Coalition of Kenya (GALCK). They are involved in advocacy programs that focus on Lesbian, Bisexual, Queer Women and Gender Non-Conforming persons at national, regional and international levels. They are also part of a SOGIE research committee G10 that coordinates and undertakes SOGIE based research on behalf of the LGBQ community and organisations within the coalition. They lead the Gender & Sexual Diversity and Mentorship programs at GALCK.
Bianca D.M. Wilson, Ph.D (She/Her)
Board Member
Bianca is the Rabbi Zacky Senior Scholar of Public Policy at the Williams Institute. Her research focuses primarily on system-involved LGBTQ youth, LGBT poverty, and sexual health among queer womxn. In addition to multiple peer-reviewed and institution-published reports, she co-edited a special issue of the Journal of Lesbian Studies that featured a multidisciplinary collection of work on health and other topics from the perspectives of Black Lesbians in the U.S., Caribbean, and South Africa. She earned a doctorate in Psychology from the Community and Prevention Research program at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with a minor in Statistics, Methods, and Measurement, and received postdoctoral training at the UCSF Institute for Health Policy Studies and the UCSF Lesbian Health and Research Center through an Agency for Health Research and Quality (AHRQ) postdoctoral fellowship.

Nelly Munyasia

Nelly is the Executive Director for the Reproductive Health Network in Kenya, a network of trained health care providers, who are passionate about ensuring provision of quality
comprehensive reproductive health information and services especially safe and legal abortion.
Nelly is a trained Midwife/Nurse and a health systems strengthening expert, a Sexual and Reproductive Health provider champion and an activist for girls and women rights. She is passionate about protecting reproductive health rights, including safe and legal abortion for vulnerable and marginalised girls and womxn including the LBTIQ community as a way of ensuring gender equality and realization of their full potential in life.
Nelly has successfully engaged at the national, regional and international advocacy forums that advocate for policy change and gender equality in provision of sexual and reproductive health services including safe abortion services. She is a member of the SheDecides Kenya coordinating committee and the National Nurses Association of Kenya and was also a member of the ICPD+25 Nairobi Summit Local Reference Group.
Gerald Hayo
Board Member
Gerald is Human Rights activist passionate about leadership and governance.Gerald is The Founder and Programs coordinator at Rainbow Women of Kenya officially known as LEBIT Community Based Organization. They are a board member at KISPED. Gerald has eight years experience in activism including grass-root organizing for social change, human rights advocacy, project management, planning, administration and governance and is a former fellow at the Centre for Applied Human Rights at York University (https://www.york.ac.uk/cahr/defenders/protective-fellowship/past/gerald/)
Gerald has produced a documentary about their experience as an LBQ womxn in Kenya (http://www.nowyouareawoman.com/).
At Rainbow Women of Kenya their core focus areas has been building a robust Lesbian Bisexual and Queer women movement in the coast region that aimed at promoting Sexual and reproductive health rights, legal rights and reconciling sexual
minorities of faith with religion.This has been made possible through attending theology classes with world bible school.
Gerald hopes for the time when gender identity and sexual orientation will not be a barrier to a full enjoyment of life in society in Kenya and in the world at large.

Yvonne is a Feminist and a PLHIV programmer and Advocate in pediatric HIV care with 15 years experience. She has contributed significantly to The Western Kenya efforts aimed at HIV/AIDS prevention in women, youth and children living with and affected by HIV and AIDS, enabling them to lead better, quality and dignified lives
